3 Tips to Jumpstart Your Health Today!

I would like a show of hands: how many of you are wanting to turn the hands of time backward and look young and fresh again? I want to be included in those show of hands! Yes, I will admit I sometimes wish I were twenty or even 30 (gasp!) years younger. When I saw my first crow’s foot by one of my eyes, I cringed. I thought to myself, “I am much too young to have that nasty wrinkle by my eye!”

Honestly, it does not matter what age you see your first wrinkle, your first piece of gray hair, or just a tad bit of weight gain. Yikes! Life moves forward at light speed and before you know it, you look like your grandmother did when you were a child!

But for some of us, what can we do to slow the ticking of time on our faces, or even on the rest of our bodies? That is the question for the century. I like to suggest some 3 healthy tips to get you started!

  • We can begin on the inside.

I can see some of you saying, “Yada, yada, yada. I have heard that before. Eat healthy, then you will look younger and feel better. Heard it before. Next!” There is truth to this. When you put vegetables, for example, into your body, your body is humming with joy. We were created to eat healthy (remember the garden of Eden?). I do not remember reading about donuts, chips, coke in the garden of Eden. Do you take vitamins? The stresses of life, aging, food, and water consumption can take a toll on our bodies and deplete us of much needed vitamins and minerals. Talk to you doctor about this or take a blood test to see what vitamins you may need.

  • Start a new exercise program

This is a big one! Women seem overwhelmed with work and home responsibilities, and who has time to exercise? We do not have time to not exercise. Exercising is not only good for the body but is good for the mind and spirit. A happy hormone gets released when we exercise, thereby helping us to feel happy. Who does not want to feel happy? A walk, a bicycle ride or even a visit to a local gym is a fantastic way to start your exercise career. When the going gets tough, and it will, it is important to not give up but is good for the mind and spirit. A happy hormone gets released when we exercise, thereby helping us to feel happy. • Journal

Journal your journey, for yourself. Journaling can be very therapeutic. Sometimes we hold things in and do not know how to express ourselves to others. Journaling is a way to express yourself, even if you are the only one that sees it on paper.

Ladies, we cannot turn back the hands of time, but we can take care of ourselves today, and that starts with a healthy attitude and mindset. I am here rooting for you. You go girl! Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you are going to start today. Or if you are already on the path of health, give us encouragement how you started and what keeps you motivated!
