What Is Your Purpose?

As you walk down your neighborhood street, or a supermarket aisle, or walk into the kitchen of your home, getting things ready for dinner, have you thought to yourself, what is my PURPOSE?

Sometimes your PURPOSE might look like changing a dirty diaper (I know, yuck), being part of a carpool as each of you share bringing the kids to school, a job that serves others or perhaps a leader of a company. A PURPOSE could look like many different things, and maybe you wonder if changing a dirty diaper is really a set PURPOSE for you?

No matter what stage of life you are in, or what you do for a living or a stay-at-home mom, you have PURPOSE. God has given you a PURPOSE, a gift to use to the best of your knowledge, full of meaning and life. Paul wrote a verse concerning God’s purpose for you:

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His PURPOSE.” Romans 8:28

“who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own PURPOSE and grace which was give to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” 2 Timothy 1:9

God has PURPOSE for you, whether it is cleaning your house, changing that stinky diaper, working hard to get a promotion at work, or leading your team on a project, God has PURPOSE for you. I believe God has a different PURPOSE according to who you are, how He created and most importantly His great love for you and His PURPOSE that will work out. Even if it does not look like PURPOSE will work out today or another day, trust God that His PURPOSE will be completed in your life.

So friend, what is your PURPOSE today, no matter how miniscule or large it is?
