Never Underestimate Granny’s!

Have you had one of those days where you were so busy away from home that you did not have time to cook a delicious meal for your family? You are driving in a new town, looking for food to eat when you come upon something that may not look modern or attractive and has the name “Granny” in it. No offense for anyone reading that is an actual Grandma!

You pause for a moment and look to see what other alternatives there are, but this seemed like the perfect fit for your diet, and being new in a small town, this is the perfect place for a simple dinner. So we parked the Bronco and walked into this homestyle restaurant.

I am really BIG on customer service, and we did receive a wonderful reception. They were short staffed and the manager was helping with taking orders. I had concerns about diet after looking at the menu, and the manager reassured me what he could do.

I had a simple burger (no bun) with swiss cheese and mushrooms (I am a mushroom fiend) with cole slaw as a side. Was I pleasantly surprised! My husband ignores his dietary restrictions (hmmm…) and enjoyed his delightful dinner as well.

They have all kinds of homestyle dishes for any fussy eater and pleasant dining atmosphere. If you are new in town or looking for simple fare, then why don’t you take a gander at Granny’s Restaurant, located in Cody, Wyoming, especially if you are looking for a delicious breakfast to eat. The manager actually recommended the Cody Coffee Roaster, which I wrote about in a previous blog!
