The Cow Says, “Moooore Ice Cream!”
Have you visited a small town and saw a place that was so busy, that maybe more people were visiting this crazy busy establishment than actually live in the town? Yep, that is what I thought when we first visited “The Creamery.” This cute and unique place is located in the small town of Beaver, in Utah. Sandwiched between Cedar City and Salt Lake City, Beaver, Utah is as small town as you can get, with a grocery story, a small row of tourist stores, some eateries and even a laundromat. Blink and you will pass it along I15.
As we parked in the large parking lot, I noticed pretty mountain ranges for our viewing pleasure, especially when fall is exploding in these mountain towns. Beaver is a cute town to visit, and should be on your bucket list as it is along I15, plus it offers a nearby ski resort, hiking, off roading and camping. But lets get back to the Creamery!
Stepping into this place, you will have many choices to make: shall I eat ice cream (definitely yes), eat lunch with lots of cheese, or maybe find a tourist item or even something to bring home and eat? All of the aforementioned is a definite yes! I had an ice cream, and I think the flavor was Mud Tracks. It is vanilla ice cream mixed in with chocolate and peanut butter pieces. My better half also had an ice cream cone, but since he is a coffee fanatic, his was also a coffee flavor. Huckleberry is very popular in some of these states, so if you have a hankering for huckleberry, The Creamery will fit your bill!
Since it is called The Creamery, all of their products are made from milk. So they have plenty of cheese products to choose from, ice cream flavors and gift ideas for that special dairy lover in your life. Do not forget to miss the child area as your children will learn how the dairy products are made on a young and fun level. There is also seating outside for your eating and viewing pleasure. Honestly, this place is so easy to miss if you are heading to one of the larger cities in Utah, like Salt Lake City.
But make a pitstop at The Creamery. I am so glad we did. We enjoyed the ice cream as we sat outside one fall day in comfortable seats, viewing the nearby mountains full of fall colors.
