A Dipping Experience You Will Not Forget!
A quaint, simply furnished place with curtains around some eating areas, lightly lit, a little on the romantic side, and the aroma, oh yes, the delicious aroma wafting around, as we were led to our table. Whispers of words, only meant for someone’s ears. We took a seat in our ample booth, noticed something that looked like a flat burner, gazed at the menu selections, placed our order and waited eagerly for our choice delectable appetizers: freshly cut veggies, placed with care on a white ceramic tray. But that was not it! It was only the beginning.
Have you ever had fondue? Do you even know what it is? I think my mother had a fondue pot when I was a child, but it is not so old fashioned today. We had the pleasure of visiting the Melting Pot, with 2 locations in Glendale and Chandler, Arizona. They are famous for their fondue pots, with portions of sauce, cheese, and the most best part, well at least for me, chocolate.
Once the pot of our first course (we had four) was placed on the table, we inhaled the fragrant pungent smell of cheese. Trays of freshly cut veggies and fruits, ready to be dipped in the cheese of your choice; protein that will whet your appetite, cooked to your perfection in a hot pot placed carefully on your table; but I think the main star is the juicy, fresh fruit, with your choice of dark chocolate (personal favorite), white chocolate, milk chocolate, warm and dreamy creamy.
The food was scrumptious, the company (my husband) perfect and the service was exceptional. We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a visit to the Melting Pot. Arizona has 2 locations: Ahwatukee and Glendale, and they are both open year round. I can almost guarantee you that this type of food will warm your belly and put a smile on your face. This could be a romantic place with your loved one or even a date you are just getting to know, or it could be just a fun place to visit, learning how to dip the many choices of delightful food in your favorites sauces!
Have you ever “dipped” before and where? We would love to hear your dipping experience!
